Peter Maila joined the HSBC Principal Investments Africa team in 2010 as the Investment Director. Peter has over 15 years experience in investment banking and finance.
Prior to joining HSBC, he was the Head of Leverage and Finance Africa for Rand Merchant Bank. While at Rand Merchant Bank, Peter originated and led the execution of transactions namely; Luanshaya Copper Mines of Zambia, arranged three debt facilities in 2005-2007 for Vmobile/Celtel Nigeria totalling US$600 million, advisor and lender to Angola Telecom on the US$80 million export credit finance and acted as arranger in the US$320 million syndicated debt facility to Celtel DRC, Celtel Madagascar, Celtel Malawi and Celtel Sierra Leone.
Peter worked for Standard Bank Investment Banking Africa responsible for originating and executing Leverage and Acquisition Finance transactions. His career began in 1995 at Vodacom South Africa and later was seconded to Vodacom Tanzania for nearly three years as the Financial Manager. While at Vodacom, Peter worked in various finance departments over 9 years and completed his accounting articles at Vodacom under the TOPP program.
Peter is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds B.Compt degree from University of South Africa and B.Com (Honours) in Accounting from University of Natal. He is the member of South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is the board member of Chemi and Cotex of Tanzania.

Audrey Ndidiamaka Joe-Ezigbo is serial entrepreneur with over 17yrs cognate business and entrepreneurial experience. She is co-founder of Falcon Petroleum Limited which is one of the three Local Distribution Companies operating within Nigeria’s domestic gas sector, with responsibility for development, distribution and management of Natural Gas pipeline distribution network & supply infrastructure within the Ikorodu Natural Gas Distribution zone. Nick Mbuvi is currently the Corporate Banking Director, East Africa for Barclays and an Executive Director of Barclays Bank of Kenya. Nick rejoined Barclays Kenya in January 2008 from Barclays Uganda where he had been the Managing Director since July 2004. Nick has a wealth of experience having worked earlier in the Region as the Regional Treasurer, East Africa for Barclays Bank. He also has immense knowledge in Corporate Banking, Treasury, Asset & Liability and Risk Management gained within Barclays and ABN-AMRO Bank over the last 16 years and has been involved in a number of key Corporate and Investment Banking transactions in East Africa across several industries. Nick is also an Independent Investment Committee Member of Aureos East Africa Fund Managers – a private equity fund investing in middle market companies in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ethiopia. He is also a Board Member of Junior Achievement Kenya – a not for profit organisation whose purpose is to prepare and inspire young people to succeed in the Global Economy. Nick was voted the Kenya Corporate Banker of Year 2010 at the The Banking Awards 2010 Survey by Think Business Limited. Nick holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Nairobi and a Global Executive MBA from the IESE Business School, University of Navarra in Barcelona, Spain.
